Clindamycin HCI is a prescription broad-spectrum antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, mouth and bones caused by certain types of bacteria. It may also be prescribed to treat certain protozoan infections, such as toxoplasmosis and babesiosis. It works by stopping bacteria from producing proteins that encourage their growth and reproduction, stopping the spread of infection and allowing the body's immune system to kill the bacteria. Customers may receive this drug under the names Antirobe, Cleocin.
